• Do I have to be experienced in photography to attend a Tours/Workshops? No - No experience is required to attend any of our Tours/Workshops. All we ask for is a healthy attitude to learning and appreciating the great outdoors.

  • Do I need to own a special camera or equipment? It is recommended that you are using a DSLR (Digital SLR) camera. A camera preferable with detachable lens as well as manual exposure options.

  • What other equipment do I need for these sessions? We will send you a full list of essential photographic items prior to you attending the Tour/Workshop. We also understand that photography can be an expensive hobby, so we don't expect you to go out and buy thousands of dollars of gear. We will advise you on what is the best gear, most appropriate to your photography needs.

  • Do I need to own a laptop or computer to attend one of these Tours/Workshops? Ideally yes. Each session will include an element of post editing education, which is a vital part of all photography these days. So having a laptop with you, preferable with Adobe Lightroom installed (30 day free trials available) will greatly enhance not only your experience but your imagery as well.

  • Are the Tours/Workshops accredited and/or authorised by any tourism/photography body? Cam Blake is an Associate Member of the AIPP (Aust. Institute of Professional Photographers) which ensures that the tuition you receive in your time with us will be of the highest professional standards. All Tours/Workshops also come with the Australian Tourism Accredited tick of approval as Cam Blake is a accredited tourism operator within Tasmania. We also take the upmost care to respect the environment that we operate in, hence having the approval of Tasmania Parks and Wildlife to conduct our activities within these magical National Parks of Tasmania.

  • Do I receive any offical qualification at the completion of a Tour/Workshop? No. These Tours/Workshops are purely to help educate and assist you in gaining valuable photography skills and knowledge from an industry professional. No qualification will be awarded as part of attending a Tour/Workshop.

  • Do I need to be physically fit to attend a Tour/Workshop? Our Overland Track Tour is the only Tour where physical fitness is required. The Overland Track is a 6 day hike along varying surfaces, whilst carrying a backpack weighing approximately 15-17kg's. We can help you prepare for the 6 day adventure and guide you in the best way to be physically ready for that Tour. Our other Workshops only require a small amount of walking each day, and we advise a good comfy pair of walking shoes and clothing to help make your time with us more comfortable. Tasmania has some of Australia's most dramatic weather so we will also advise on what clothing to come prepared with.

  • What if the weather is not suitable for heading out to take photographs? This is Tasmania. Our weather is one of the best elements to creating stunning imagery. We recommend that you bring the appropriate attire as we will head out in all sorts of weather. If in the off chance the weather is too bad to head outdoors, we will adjust the itinerary to allow extra time indoors studying the use of editing software and other photographic tools.

  • Do you accomodate for dietary requirements for any of your Tours/Workshops? Absolutely. We can cater for everyone with prior advice from you.
